I have to many years Diablo 2 LOD, after years without playing I decided to install the game again, I have the installation CD and the expansion Lord of Destruction, but I lost my play disc and because of this I cannot perform the installation, I have the CD-Keys of the installation CD and the expansion set, so I lost my LOD 'play disc' game disk, but still have my CD-Key!
When I try to put the CD-key in Blizzard's website it appears that the code cannot be activated, maybe because it is VERY old. I would like help because, even being old I paid for the game and would like to play it again.
Could someone please help me?

If you have the game keys, then you can add them to your Blizzard account on the website. Once done, the games will appear in your game summary and you can click on them to locate the key and a link to download the game.
If you're getting an error when trying to enter the game keys then make sure you're entering the keys carefully. A typo or wrong letter will prevent the key from being added. The age of the key shouldn't affect it being added, but it can only be added to a single account.

I have the same problem! I ve alredy added key to my account and downloaded the diablo 2 installer but when I try to install the game it want me to enter a 26 digit cd key located on the cdbox of the game which is very okward since the cd has only 16 digits key and already been approved and added to my account so it cant be wrong

This worked but when I try to put the CD key this message appears: 'The CD-Key entered in the Diablo II field was invalid. Please make sure that it was typed in correctly.'
My CD-Key is old but is original, has 16 digits and not 26 as request =/

Please make sure that it was typed in correctly.'When you attached your 16 digit key to your Blizzard account it will have converted it to the new 26 digit keys. Just go to http://blizzard.com/account and once you have logged in it will show Diablo II and Lords of Destruction, just open those up and your 26 digit key will be there.

When you attached your 16 digit key to your Blizzard account it will have converted it to the new 26 digit keys.
